A paved greenway is vital for safe routes to school for Smith Middle and Chapel Hill High School. Bike paths along Estes/Sewell are not a substitute. J.M., Carrboro

I've enjoyed hiking along Bolin Creek since the early 70's. I've watched erosion and loss of vegetation from increasing overuse. To protect the creek, it's either pave a path along the creek or keep people out. A long distance bike path on a level route along the creek has been a dream of local cyclists for decades. The paved portion from MLK Blvd to the Rec. Center is a great success for thousands of users. It would be a great pity if we can not extend it. P.K, Chapel Hill

- My first three years here included daily time along this corridor. It's painful to imagine it paved and the thought of it sometimes brought tears, but after using the walkway along the other Bolin Creek corridor it became obvious that it's the best way to truly preserve the integrity of the creek and surrounding area." - VS, Chapel Hill

"This would be a wonderful amenity for the citizens of Carrboro & Chapel Hill. If we had it, we would wonder how we ever got along without it.", - BB, Chapel Hill

"I am an advocate for the people with disabilities and am particularly concerned with helping people in this segment of the population led healthy lives and be involved in their communities. I think in paving the Greenway, the Town of Carrboro will provide an opportunity for people who often don't have a chance to be active, (as well as the rest of the community), to do so." CM, Durham
